Jesus Christ Superstar

In 1987, Yakov Kazyansky started working on the musical version of the Andrew Lloyd Weber’s famous rock-opera Jesus Christ Superstar. The opening night was on December 24, 1989 in Rybinsk. This was the first staging of this rock-opera in Russia. In April of 1990, the performance was staged at the Yaroslavl Young People’s Theater, where it ran for five seasons with much acclaim. Olga Kazyanskaya was a voice tutor and choir director on the project, and Anna and Kate sang in the children's choir and later in the adult vocal ensemble.
